In plain words: what data I collect on krilova.org, why, and how I handle it.

Who is responsible for your data

Svetlana Krilova, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. For any question about your data, write to svetlana@krilova.org. I decide why and how the data is used, so under UK GDPR I am the “data controller”.

What data I receive and why

  • Session request form. Name, email, Telegram and a message (the last two are optional). I use them to reply and to arrange a session. Basis: your request for a session.
  • “Get the guide” form. Name, email and your consent. I use them to open the page with the file and to reply if you write to me. Basis: your consent.
  • Visit statistics. The site uses Jetpack Stats (Automattic): which pages are opened, from which country and on what type of device. Your name and email are not part of it. Basis: my legitimate interest in knowing which materials are useful.
  • Technical data. The hosting provider (Namecheap) keeps technical logs, such as an IP address, to keep the site running and secure.
  • Spam protection. Messages from the forms are checked by Akismet (Automattic).
  • YouTube videos. The site embeds videos. When you play one, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies.

Who receives the data

Only the services the site cannot work without: hosting (Namecheap), Jetpack and Akismet (Automattic), YouTube (Google). I do not sell data and I do not pass it on for advertising.

How long I keep it

I keep form data and correspondence while we are in touch, and no longer than two years after our last contact. If you ask me to delete it sooner, I will.

If you write about personal things

You can tell me about yourself in a message, but you do not have to. What you write is visible only to me and to the services listed above. Please do not share anything you are not ready to share.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how it is used, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to svetlana@krilova.org. If you believe I am handling your data incorrectly, you can complain to the UK data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

There are no advertising cookies on this site. Statistics and embedded YouTube videos may use their own cookies, as described above.
